I hope you enjoy. With so much music out there, most of it manufactured like it came off of an assembly line. I am attempting to create something at least interesting to me, and hopefully to you too as well. I have a fairly wide variety of tastes and in that write a lot of different kinds of music. In the interest of being user freindly I attempt to classify these arraingment of sounds. These separations may be a little off but I am hoping that they at least point you in the right direction. Here's the guide to how at least I see it.</p><p></p><p>PROJECTS - These are efforts of mine to produce music that can go in any direction I want and challenge myself as a musician and composer. This will be probably be the most musically complex and sonically adventurous of my music. Anything can happen. Projects tend to be purposeful collections of music done at a certain point in time.</p><p></p><p>TEXTURES - Textures can fit into both of the catagories mentioned here and above although if on a project would be experimental to the point of being difficult or even impossible to place in film. FILM textures would be music that is centered around a beat or rhythm that tends to evolve or have more subtle changes than the PROJECT based pieces.</p><p></p><p>AMBIENT - Let me be up front and say that for at least now I won't be producing any TRUE ambient music for now. True ambient music is music that is almost impossible to listen to because it is so blank. It was intended to occupy space in a room without being distracting - look up ambient on wikipedia or Try listening to Neroli by Brian Eno. Jan - Feb 2011Final writing has begun for Project Two (name unanounced) and will hopefully start recording no later than April 2011. Most of the songs are longer in lenght (6-10 mins) and more complex in structure.Dec 2010 - Jan 20112010 turns out to be taken up by two endeavors. The first being the writing of shorter pieces and rhythms for use in film and second the re-recording, Remix/Master of The Surface of Collision in 24 bit 48k audio. Dec 2009 - Feb 2010 Sound page is expanded to encompass all the different projects and classifications including past and future works. Sound samples will now be 2 min clips so that I can post more without worrying about storage.Oct 2009Film page is open. Mixing and mastering complete for Project One now called "The Surface of Collision" refering to the interaction, or collision of the man made world with the natural world via the surface of a screen. Mixing and mastering music begins2007 - Sept 2008 Collecting software and the hardware to run and control it. Writing music begins then gets continually re-written as my capabilities grow.
